The discussions about Yann Sommer (34) do not stop. Uncertainty on the Swiss side led to Mainz’s equalizer on Saturday and so began Bayern’s defeat. According to “Kicker”, Yann Sommer should not have been Bayern’s favorite candidate after Manuel Neuer’s injury. Those responsible for Munich already had advanced talks with Nice keeper Kasper Schmeichel (36) and were preparing an offer.
The Danish national goalkeeper would have been ready to move to Munich and sign a contract until the end of the season.
