Vitor Roque is “Brazil’s greatest jewel”

Brazilian interim coach Ramon Menezes (50) has summoned Brazil’s greatest hope for the future: Vitor Roque. The 18-year-old is under contract with Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense and is already performing strongly. In the footsteps of his idol

“I’m really happy and a little bit nervous,” he said after being called up. His great idol is Neymar (31). “He’s an inspiration to me,” Roque said of the PSG superstar. Now he should follow in his footsteps. When it comes to age at debut, the two take next to nothing: if Roque makes his debut on Saturday, at 18 years and 25 days, he would be just 20 days older than Neymar when he made his debut for the Seleçao in 2010.
