— How do you rate the progress of the group in this campaign?

— It is true that we started the season with the only expectation that we would grow as a team, without further thinking. And this one goal that we had is what got us to where we are now. It’s true that it was brutal to see how each teammate grew within the team, when you’re winning everything helps, but the reality is that I didn’t see a single player relax in any training session, not even a bad face, and this is essential for growing together.

— What is behind the good results?

— This team understood that when we are solid in defense, things come naturally in attack. With the long and physical rotation of the team, it had to be one of our virtues, and we achieved that with our daily work. We have people who lead the defense, watching Julieta Mungo, Claudia Soriano, etc. do their best and enjoy the defense, it infects you, at least me, it’s nice when I’m on the field with them.

Is the growing support exciting?

— The illusion is growing as usual, things are going well, the team is winning, and people are encouraged. I think our style of play, the intensity, the freshness of some players is contagious, and the fans identify with that combative character. It is clear that more institutional and business support is needed to keep this project growing, but with the Baxi Ferrol DNA we have created, of humility, work and struggle, I have no doubt that more people will want to get involved.

— Is Baxi on your plan for the future?
