After several months of injury, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is part of the squad of the Swedish national team for the upcoming start of the European Championship qualifiers.
National coach Janne Andersson nominates the 41-year-old Milan striker for the home games against group favorites Belgium (March 24) and against Azerbaijan (March 27).
Ibrahimovic has recently been substituted three times and feels he is in good shape, Andersson explains. “When I look at it from that perspective, I think he can contribute. Especially on the field, but also off the field.”
The coach does not see the Swedish record scorer as an option for the starting eleven. Ibrahimovic last played for Sweden on March 22, 2022. (SDA/dti)
