So when the best scenes from the games of Liverpool, Tottenham and Co. flickering across the screen at “Match of the Day” on Saturday, Lineker will not be in the studio. However, it’s not clear who will be running the show instead. Because following the ‘Lineker time-out’, Alan Shearer (52) and Ian Wright (59) also canceled their participation in the show. The two former internationals would have appeared in the studio next to Lineker. “Everyone knows what this show means to me. But I’ve told the BBC I won’t be there tomorrow.
