FC Luzern submits its documents for the licensing process to the league incompletely. The signature of stadium owner Bernhard Alpstaeg on the right to play in the Swissporarena is missing.
His refusal to sign so far is “incomprehensible to the board of directors and should be condemned accordingly,” the club writes.

Alpstaeg has been insulted and threatened in his stadium by thousands of FCL fans for weeks. “Alpstaeg out!”, “Dä FCL chase us em stad? Chom noch mer moan ready!”, “Alpstaeg on a journey!”, “Hesch al zo da Zitteri thatd nöm chasch sign?”. Just to name a few posters that were recently hoisted into the Swissporarena.
It seems that the board of directors would tolerate anything in the fight against its main shareholder Alpstaeg. Statements such as “his behavior must be condemned” even add fuel to the fire.
This witch hunt is totally wrong and can quickly become dangerous in the highly emotional world of football with its sometimes fanatical fans.
Downshifting two gears and taking a deep breath would be a good idea. Better encourage your team instead of against your financier!
Whoever is right in the shareholder issues on the carpet floor, the court will have to decide for better or for worse. Fortunately, witch hunts have long been banned in Switzerland.
