Achraf Hakimi (24) was elected world footballer of the year on Monday. The PSG pro attended the Fifa Gala in Paris along with teammates Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé. Before the award ceremony, “Le Parisien” published a report on a rape allegation against the Moroccan.
A young woman has contacted a police station in Paris and issued a statement accusing the PSG star of rape. Apparently, however, she has refrained from reporting it, the reason for which is unknown. However, since Hakimi is a public figure, the prosecutor’s office has taken up the case and is now investigating the allegations.
It all happened at the fullback’s house last weekend, according to the report. Hakimi and the woman first met on Instagram on Jan. 16 and kept in regular contact. On February 25, she drove to him in the Boulogne neighborhood in an Uber paid for by Hakimi. She said she had unwanted sex until she could free herself with a kick, then texted a friend to ask her to pick her up.
Hakimi is married and has two children. According to Instagram, his wife was on vacation in Dubai with the kids this weekend.
In December, he was part of the acclaimed Moroccan team at the World Cup in Qatar. Hakimi was one of the key players and Morocco sensationally reached the semi-finals where the Africans were beaten by France. Before that, they defeated teams such as Belgium, Spain and Portugal. The PSG defender is currently struggling with a hamstring injury.
