Werner talks about difficult time at Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel has been criticized several times for his sometimes harsh way of dealing with players who are unpopular with him. Insulation as a brake

The move from Leipzig to London took place during the COVID crisis. The then 24-year-old had to settle in isolation. “Everything was closed, I was just sitting at home, I spent Christmas and New Year alone. Maybe it would have been better if I could have seen my family and friends,” says Werner in an interview.

But there is no bad mood between Tuchel and him. Still, he thinks sothat going back to Leipzig was the right decision: “In the end I didn’t feel like it anymore and just wanted to leave. At RB I’m enjoying football again and I’m ready for more.” (nsa)
