Due to his lightning-quick departure to Mainz, the FCZ term of Bo Henriksen (49) does not have a happy ending. The Dane is already the third coach in a row to leave Zurich prematurely.
In his first season, the ex-Schalke coach sensationally led the FCZ to the championship title in the summer of 2022. Chairman Ancillo Canepa (70) thinks that his dream coach will stay for years to come: “I’m not worried about it at all. André knows what he has in us.”
Less than a month later, Breitenreiter left despite his current contract. He returns to the Bundesliga and takes over at Hoffenheim. “I realized early on that success in Zurich was taken for granted,” the German said later.

After Breitenreiter, the Zurich team are now losing their next coach to a Bundesliga club – just days after announcing they would work together until the summer.
