What is much more disappointing than the defeat is GC’s poor performance. ‘That wasn’t a good match. Miserable. But that’s just how football is sometimes,” Führer summarizes.

Colleague Noventa left a little earlier than the now 86-year-old: “Sniff!”, he said. Shortly after him and a few minutes before the end of the match, Ponte, Meier, Wehrli and Berbig also disappeared. Führer is the last to leave with seconds to go. “This result will likely remain the same.” The legend turned out to be right.
