Stan Wawrinka and Dominic Stricker have been announced for the Swiss Open in Gstaad from July 15 to 21. With the Australian Alex de Minaur, a player from the top 10 is also on the list of participants.
Wawrinka (ATP 56) and Stricker (ATP 88), the two best-ranked Swiss players in the world rankings, are likely to follow the plan to optimally prepare for the Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympic tournament takes place a week after Gstaad on the clay courts of Roland-Garros. However, Stricker must improve in the world rankings to secure one of the 56 Olympic places.
Alex de Minaur (ATP 10) is currently the highest ranked player announced by the organizers. Next to him are the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime (ATP 30), the Czech Jiri Lehecka (ATP 23), the Croatian Borna Coric (ATP 40), the Austrian Dominic Thiem (ATP 92) and the Frenchman Richard Gasquet (ATP 131 ). Bernese Oberland awaits. (SDA)
