Frida Hansdotter became a mother for the second time.

The new year couldn’t start in a better way. Former ski topper Frida Hansdotter (38) and her partner Richard Jansson (42) have become parents for the second time. “Welcome to the world, little one!” the Swede writes on Instagram with a sweet snapshot. You see: the hands of the parents and the proud big brother (3), holding the feet of the newborn.

The new addition to the family was born on January 7, Hansdotter reveals. She keeps the name to herself, but the pink hearts with which she decorates the date of birth suggest that it is a girl. A day before Hansdotter, another skier was happy with the offspring. Frenchman Alexis Pinturault (32) and his wife Romane became parents of Olympe.

Career highlight: Olympic gold

Hansdotter delights her followers with her baby happiness. Especially the ski circus. “Congratulations to the whole family,” says Ragnhild Mowinckel. Others, like Pernilla Wiberg, Felix Neureuther or Nicole Schmidhofer, express their joy with emojis. Among the commentators are two other ex-skiers who will also become mothers this year: Anna Veith and Eva-Maria Brem.

Hansdotter ended her career in March 2019 after 225 World Cup races. Specialized in technical disciplines, she reached the podium 35 times and celebrated victory four times. In the 2015/16 season she won the small crystal ball in the slalom. The Swede celebrated her greatest success in 2018 when she was crowned Olympic slalom champion in Pyeongchang, South Korea. (beer)
