Family hide in panic as burglars loot City star Grealish’s villa

The family of Manchester City star Jack Grealish (28) gathered in front of the TV in his villa on Wednesday to cheer on their darling in the match against Everton. Also there: his fiancée Sasha Attwood (27), his parents, his grandmother and his three brothers and sisters.

But the football takes a back seat when the family hears noises from upstairs – and the dogs start barking like crazy, as ‘The Sun’ reports. The huge villa outside Manchester – where Grealish and his fiancée have just moved into – is actually guarded by a security force. The family raises the alarm and hides.

Loot worth more than a million francs

Several patrol cars immediately race to the building and a police helicopter is also in action. Apparently the emergency services initially feared that they would be taken hostage. When the patrol cars arrive and the police search the house and secure the area, the burglars are already gone.

With them: jewelry and watches worth well over a million francs!

Jack Grealish himself was informed of the incident minutes after the match and immediately rushed home.

Gang on the run

A source told the Sun: “The family are very shocked. Everyone was very scared.” It was the family’s first time visiting the 24-acre estate. The villa has a heli-landing platform, a lake, a wine cellar, tennis and golf courses and football fields.

Hours later, police were still combing the area looking for the gang. Local residents are asked to provide any video footage from surveillance cameras. The police confirmed the operation to the newspaper. The suspects are on the run.

It is not the first time that celebrity villas have been targeted by burglars during football matches. A few days earlier, thieves searched the property of West Ham player Kurt Zouma (29) in Essex.
