“Nothing bothers him”: Odermatt waves the wooden spoon once

“A great experience!”, the sports journalist tells “GlücksPost”. “It was really cool to see them all from a different perspective.” Because he already knew his prominent candidates very well from his many assignments as a ski reporter. Studer was all the more curious to see how the ski professionals deal with situations that don’t go according to plan, “for example, if something is on fire.”

One thing has already been revealed here: “I am deeply impressed by all four. They cook at a very high level,” says Lukas Studer. “Vreni Schneider was also surprised by the cooking skills.” While the participants normally judge each other in the pre-broadcast, an equally top jury with Vreni Schneider (59), Sonja Nef (51) and Marc Berthod (40) does so in the celebrity special.

“They want to win everything”

By the way, the four chefs appear just as competitive in aprons as they do in racing clothes. “They want to win everything, including the cooking competitions. I think they were born that way,” Studer says, laughing. As host, he tries to distract her. “But Odi is very relaxed in himself; nothing bothers him. And he shows that he has got the hang of it, the service also has to be perfect for him.”

The stars chat while cooking and tell Studer very personal stories and anecdotes. “There are many great moments in the show. For example, Niels Hintermann told me about his romantic marriage proposal,” says Studer. He started cooking when he became a father and likes to serve his children a light Asian-inspired stir-fry dish with lots of vegetables, fried rice, chicken and sesame oil for lunch. “But that wouldn’t have won me this show,” he says.
