New task for Dino Kessler and Emanuel Gisi: the two Blick journalists can now be heard live regularly and in a double pack on Blick.ch and on MySports. Blick sports director Gisi and Blick hockey director Kessler commentate on one of the Blick live matches in the National League every month. They will have their premiere on Friday in Zug – Davos (7:45 p.m., live on Blick.ch).
Before that, they talked about their new jobs.
Gisi: Dino, you’ve played hundreds of hockey games in your career and probably seen thousands. Which was the best?
Kessler: That’s easy, that was a match at the 1974 World Cup between the Soviet Union and the then Czechoslovakia, the Czechs won 7-2. After that I was hooked, we immediately replayed the game on the country hockey field. What actually brings a Solothurn resident like you to ice hockey? Is ice cream available outside the bars?
Gisi: What a shame, this question! There may be a lot of fog in Olten, but we have a proud ice hockey tradition. Even though EHC Olten will soon celebrate its thirtieth anniversary as a B-club. By the way, I saw you play in Olten as a 9-year-old boy. Season 1993/94, a packed stadium Kleinholz, Olten – Zug. Tom Fergus sank the EHCO with a penalty. And according to the match telegram you were in the penalty area. Memories?
Kessler: Yes, from dirty changing rooms and railway sleepers in the stands. And in the episode in the penalty area, a spectator got a bit cocky and wanted to attack me, so I had to calm him down a bit.
