Eastern Swiss with goal and assist: Kevin Fiala leads Los Angeles to victory

Kevin Fiala (27) leads the Los Angeles Kings back to success in the NHL. The Eastern Swiss striker was involved in both of his team’s goals in the 2-1 home win against the Florida Panthers.

After just 80 seconds, Fiala opened the scoring against the Panthers, who were previously unbeaten in five games, when he converted a nice pass from Phillip Danault with his backhand to make it 1-0. Shortly after halftime, Fiala put captain Anze Kopitar on the power play, who scored and made it 2-0 for the home team.

With 16 scorer points (3 goals/13 assists) from 15 games, Fiala is not only currently the most productive Swiss on NHL ice, but is now also his team’s top scorer. For Los Angeles, the fourth best team in the West, it is the first victory after two previous defeats.

The Swiss hospital is getting bigger and bigger

New Jersey has also returned to winning ways. Of the Swiss quartet for the Devils, only defender Jonas Siegenthaler (26) played in the 5-2 win in Pittsburgh. While goalkeeper Akira Schmid is on the bench, captain Nico Hischier (24) and Timo Meier (27) are also missing due to an injury.
