Not all participants in the 2024 European Football Championship are known yet. However, the first 1.2 million tickets for the games have already been raffled. Applicants in the first phase were informed whether they could get tickets or not. Everyone who signed up needed luck on their side. Because there were more than 20 million registrations for the 1.2 million tickets.

A total of 2.7 million tickets will be sold for the 51 European Championship matches. After the first phase, not even half of it has been taken.

Only after the groups have been drawn on December 2 will the next series of tickets be available for purchase. It is expected that approximately one million tickets will be awarded in this phase. Then the fans also know when which team is playing where. All that is known so far is that Germany will play the opening match on June 14, 2024.

After the play-offs in March, a third phase is planned, in which the final three participants will be determined. There will also be a last minute sale shortly before the tournament, as well as before the knockout games.

Tickets for the European Championship matches can only be purchased via the UEFA homepage. Anyone interested must first register there. The tickets are only available digitally.

A maximum of four tickets per match can be requested per person. The application cannot be withdrawn. The allocated tickets must be paid for, as UEFA says: “If you were successful in the lottery, you must pay for all the tickets allocated to you. We therefore recommend that fans only register for matches they would like to attend.” So if you win multiple games, you have to take all the tickets, otherwise you won’t get any at all.

But a swap meet is planned. This is managed by UEFA and EM tickets may only be resold through them. However, this will not be activated until spring 2024.

The tickets are personalized for the buyer. When ordering, he can specify the names of a total of four people. The buyer must later indicate who the accompanying persons are in an accompanying app. If he attends multiple matches, the people accompanying him may vary.

Children or babies who in theory do not need their own seat also need a valid ticket. Anyone who attends a match as a companion with someone in a wheelchair can request a free ticket.

Anyone who cannot go to the stadium at short notice for health reasons can pass on their ticket. The personal data of the new ticket holder must be passed on to the organizers within a certain period.

Ticket prices vary. The cheapest are those in the 4th category. For example, you pay 30 euros for a preliminary round game. If you want to attend the final in the 1st category, you have to pay 1000 euros per ticket. The prizes increase as the tournament progresses.

There are also lounges and skyboxes that cost between 1,250 and 2,300 euros per game. For the premium offers, ticket prices are between 400 and 2000 euros.
