The podium in Thailand: Jorge Martin (center) celebrates the victory, ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (left) and Brad Binder.

Jorge Martin also wins the main race after the sprint at the Thai Grand Prix. The Spaniard further reduces his lead in the World Cup standings with the leading Italian Francesco Bagnaia.

Martin had to work hard on his way to his fourth Grand Prix victory of the season. The Madrid native, who started from pole position, won a fascinating three-way battle on a Ducati at the Buriram circuit against fellow brand Bagnaia and Brad Binder on a KTM. The South African finished in second place. However, he is moved back one place because he leaves the permitted zone on the route.

Martin, who traveled to Thailand 27 points behind Bagnaia in the World Cup standings, is still 13 points behind the defending champions ahead of the final three Grand Prix weekends of this season. (SDA)
