Max Verstappen (26) will get his first chance to perfect his third Formula 1 world title on Saturday in the sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix. The Dutchman in the Red Bull can defend his title on his own and even without a podium finish.
With six Grands Prix and three sprint races to go, Verstappen is 177 points ahead of his first pursuer and teammate Sergio Pérez (33) in the World Championship standings. If Verstappen finishes at least sixth in the sprint on the Losail circuit, his new triumph will be a fact.
