The Super League can look forward to new game material for the 2024/25 season. As the SFL announced on Wednesday, Italian sporting goods manufacturer Macron will become the new equipment partner of the two top Swiss leagues for the next five seasons.
In concrete terms, this means that the current Molten match ball will be replaced by a completely new product from the Macron brand. The new ball is currently still in production – according to Macron, it must be exclusive, state-of-the-art and have individual graphics.
Macron thus further expands his influence in Swiss football. The Bologna (I) based company is already equipment partner of FC Basel, FC Sion, FC Thun, FC Baden and Yverdon Sport at club level. In addition, Macron also provides the match clothing for the Swiss referees.
Liga CEO Claudius Schäfer is impressed by the new collaboration and looks forward to the new product. “We are very pleased with the new design, which is specially made for Switzerland and is a world first. We are pleased to be able to present the ball to the fans,” Schäfer said in a joint statement. (are)
