This is what Sweden’s currently top-ranked ATP professional (number 51 in the world) wrote on Twitter. Ymer left soon after and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne upheld his decision. The reason for Ymer’s suspension is that two years ago he allegedly failed three times to declare his whereabouts for doping controls.

In the course of the appeal, he learned on Monday that the CAS had banned him from professional tennis for 18 months, even though he had never used or even been accused of using any banned substance, 24-year-old Ymer explains. . He thinks the court’s decision is unfair – especially since he was acquitted at first instance in the same case. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) had appealed against this acquittal. (SDA)
