Pointer to the bright future: classification veteran Petar Pusic is about to move to Croatia.
Matthew Dubachsports reporter

He was one of the most renowned Super League players to face an uncertain future this summer. But now it becomes clear that former Swiss U21 international Petar Pusic (24) will leave the Super League.

According to information from Blick, Pusic is about to move to Croatia. The lively offensive player from Schaffhausen should end up at NK Osijek and thus continue his career in the country of his parents. The club from the city on the Serbian border finished third last season behind the Croatian giants Zagreb and Split.

In all likelihood, Pusic will soon play in the SuperSport HNL like Swiss Zagreb star Josip Drmic (30).

Frustration post on Instagram after the leaderboard ended

Time at regular club GC ended in frustration for the homegrown player. Pusic’s contract was not renewed. After 181 competitive appearances for the Hoppers, including two years in the Challenge League, Pusic wrote on Instagram: “Sadly I have to tell you that after twelve years it’s time to start a new path. The vague discussions made me feel I don’t have the absolute will to stay with the club at the club.”

After Aarau newcomer Shkelqim Demhasaj (27), Pusic was another player who expressed his frustration at the clumsy communication of classification leader Bernt Haas (45).

The previous GC integration figure should now wear the new colors in time for the start of the season. The competition in Croatia starts like the Super League with us in the weekend of 22/23. July.

Since record champions GC with their various crises have never played in Europe in recent years, the Swiss is also about to make his European Cup debut when he moves abroad: Osijek starts in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
