Burel footballer Pol Bassa signs for Ponferradina

Soccer player from Marín Paul Bass (Burella2002) will serve next season in SD Ponferradinaa club that was recently relegated to the First RFEF and may be one of the candidates to try to win promotion to the Second League.

Pol Bassa, who trained in the youth academy of SD Burela before joining the youth ranks CD LugoHe completed his training at Sports and in 2021 he signed for Burgos.

In the last two seasons, he played in the promising team of the entity Burgos, in the Second League. In the fourth category of Spanish football, he participated in 59 games, scoring two goals.

In the first of his two seasons at Burgos Promesas, Pol Bassa played 27 games, nine of which were in the starting eleven and accumulated a total of 949 minutes, scoring one goal. In the second track, it was indisputable. He played 32 games, 30 as a starter, and his time on the court tripled, with 2,646 minutes played. He scored a little.

The 1.70-meter-tall native of Burello is a versatile player who works in both positions on the left wing, and although he started playing on the wing last season, as the season progressed, he settled into the position of left back.

“Pol Bassa starred in two outstanding seasons in the ranks of Burgos. He now faces a new phase in his career by joining the Deportiva project for the 2023-2024 campaign,” Ponferradina said in a statement.

Former Lugo coach, Inigo Velezwill be Polo’s coach in Ponferradina, who announced nine more signings in addition to Polo Bassa: Andrés Prieto, Markel Lozano, Thomas Carrique, David Soto, Antonio Leal, Ale Díez, Nil Jiménez, Jesús Fernández and Brais Abelenda.
