The fact that the Swiss top tournament for the local teams ends at the very beginning of the penultimate day is a novelty for Gstaad. The Swiss teams certainly disappointed at the home tournament. However, the bearish result is also a result of the new format with only 16 (previously 32) teams in the main event. For example, Anouk Vergé-Dépré and Joana Mäder duel in the group matches with three teams that were in the semi-finals of the Olympic Games two years ago.

The Brazilian conquerors of Krattiger/Breer failed in the quarterfinals at the hands of the American duo Partain/Benesh, who then also clearly triumphed in the semifinals.
