The seventh edition of the Galician Sports Management Congress is being held this Saturday in Santiago, organized by the Galician Association for Sports Management (Agaxede), chaired by Eduardo Blanco Pereira. This event, which takes place within the framework of the 25th anniversary of this entity, collaborates with the General Secretariat for Sports, the Foundation for Youth Sports and the Spanish Olympic Committee. This activity is also made possible by the companies Beone, Gadis, Mondo and Plaam.
Sports clubs are the original organizational structure of modern sports and, together with federations, foundations and other sports associations, form the so-called the third sports sector.. This non-profit sector needs a stop on the way to analyze and reflect on its present and future. That is why the content of this edition entitled “Problems and Challenges of Sports Clubs” results from open participation in the most important issues that they have to undertake.
The subject to be analyzed stems from the proposals received from the questionnaire that was sent to all Galician clubs through the General Secretariat for Sports at the beginning of this year.
Teachers who will participate in the congress will be Francisco Cacharro Gosendechief coordinator of the municipal administration of the City Council of Ourense, Jose Maria Cabrera Dominguezdirector of the Next Generation Funds of the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Trade of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manel Valcarce TorrentePresident of the Management Board of the sports consulting company Valgo Investment i Alfonso Sanz Clavijo, professor of financial and tax law at the University of Cádiz. There will also be a round table in which 3 Galician clubs will participate, with moderation Iván Clavel San Emeteriomanager of the Galician Sports Foundation.
The registration period at www.agaxede.org closes today. The price of participation in the congress is 60 euros, with significant discounts for students, who will pay only 20, and members of Agaxede, who will pay 10.
