The president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, rejects the agreement between the Government and the trade union, in which the large employers did not participate

President of the company CEO, Antonio Garamendihe described “electoral act” signature of Scholarship statute between the central government and the trade union and believes that he has “a title that may not be practiced in this country”.

Garamendi carried out these demonstrations in Bilbao, where he himself participated Collective Fridayrelated to the signing of the Scholarship Statute, which did not have a CEOE.

The president of the businessman confirmed that the employers will not participate in the “electoral acts” and assured that the Statute “does not make sense” where it is not shared by the universities, “many” students, in addition to their own CEOE.

“Honestly, I think there is no place, it must be an election that must determine what the Spanish people want to decide and from that moment we will sit down. But I honestly see it as an election act that has no place, even less when the Congress is currently closed and the Permanent Delegation is on the table,” he added.

Garamendi indicated that “of course, the call is that there may not be practice in this country.” Faced with accusations from the union that it was “political” on the part of the employer not to participate in the signing, he replied that “it is political to go there to take a photo”.

Garamendi made it known that he will not enter the fund because “they don’t know what the roles are”, because they have not yet seen which document it is related to the Statute, but it is not shared and he believes that it is signed by “people who know little about it”.
