However, no one will be forced to vote or comment on a bill. Different in Schaffhausen. There, all votes and elections are compulsory. It does not matter whether it is a federal, cantonal or municipal ballot. Anyone who does not present his voting card will be fined 6 francs per vote.

The city of Bern justifies the monster voice. The municipality writes in a statement that there are several reasons why voters decide on such a large number of municipal proposals.
