The House of Parliament is transformed into Hogwarts. It opens its doors to children on Saturdays. In the hall of the Council of States, where distinguished manners and dress code rule by the way, a magician will amaze the young audience with his tricks.
The little ones will also have the chance to discover what is hidden under the green and gold dome. There they can take on the role of politicians and learn in a playful way where and how our laws are made.
The young guests are personally greeted by the President of the National Council, Martin Candinas (42). As a father of three, he knows how to entertain young audiences. This Saturday, however, he has a serious entertainment competition: clowns must also be found in the Federal Palace and there are – of course – balloons for everyone. Instead of white wine, the children in the Galerie des Alpes get soft drinks in a specially equipped syrup bar.
The undisputed highlight, however, should be the two concerts by the Schwiizergoofe band. With their songs, the Schwiizergoofe have conquered many children’s rooms and the Swiss charts. They sing about stories that all children and all parents know from their lives. On Saturday maybe also the one about politics. Because the same applies there: the sound makes the music. (Okay)
