According to the article, the minister justified the expulsion by saying that Simoni was too far from parliament and the administration. However, some people claimed that Sommaruga wanted to put her general secretary Matthias Ramsauer (59) in a good position before her departure and therefore fired Simoni.
The federal councilors received a letter
Simoni should feel insulted. “This announcement came like the proverbial bolt from the blue,” Simoni is said to have written in a letter he had never received bad feedback from the federal government for his job, which he sent to Federal Councilman Sommaruga in response to his eviction. and her counterpart Ueli Maurer (72) directed.

Swisscom keeps a low profile
At AWP’s request, a Swisscom spokeswoman emphasized that the federal representative on Swisscom’s board of directors had been appointed by the federal government and sent to the committee. He will not be elected by the general meeting and the board of directors “takes note of his appointment”.
