In Monday’s statement of claim, which was seen by the AFP news agency, Raisi is accused of “genocide, torture, extrajudicial killings and other crimes against humanity.”

The Ayatollah regime killed thousands

The letter calls on the federal prosecutor’s office to arrest and prosecute Raisi. Raisi wants to participate in the United Nations Global Refugee Forum in Switzerland, which starts on Wednesday in Geneva. The federal prosecutor’s office did not initially acknowledge receipt of the lawsuit.

Human rights groups have long been trying to bring justice in the alleged extrajudicial killings of thousands of young people in Iranian prisons in 1988. The dead were mainly supporters of the banned opposition movement the People’s Mujahideen. (SDA)
