The man was advertised internationally for detention and later arrested in Denmark, the BA announced on Wednesday. He has been in prison since March 2023.
When an ATM was blown up in Sevelen SG on December 12, the man and an accomplice allegedly stole CHF 126,600 in cash. In addition, property damage amounting to CHF 100,000 was suffered. The alleged accomplice, a 30-year-old Romanian, had already been charged in October 2021.
Eight days later, the 45-year-old allegedly blew up another ATM in Neftenbach ZH and stole CHF 103,200. The material damage in this case is estimated at 160,000 francs. The second accomplice has not yet been identified. (SDA)
