In mid-June, two Patrouille Suisse planes collided.

It was a hair’s breadth! The Patrouille Suisse escaped the incident over Baar ZG in mid-June with a black eye. The aerobatics team is now resuming normal flight operations.

After the responsible experts had released the F-5 Tiger aircraft, a first high-altitude flight from Emmen LU military airfield took place at the end of June. The two aircraft that were damaged in the accident in Baar remained on the ground for the time being. The Swiss military announced that the first flight had been completed to the satisfaction of all involved.

The Patrouille Suisse’s next appearance will be the overflight on July 14 at the Basel Tattoo Festival.

Investigations are underway

On 15 June, two Patrouille Suisse F-5 Tiger aircraft collided during training in the Baar area. The nose of one of the planes broke off. The debris collided with the facade of a building belonging to the Glencore resource group.

The windows were broken. One person in the building suffered minor cuts from the shards. The two pilots landed unharmed. The investigations of the military justice are still ongoing. (dba)
