The Council of States wants to relieve companies in Switzerland. He approved the new law on company emergency services. (theme image)

With 28 votes in favour, 9 against and 4 abstentions, the small chamber supported the Corporate Relief Act (UEG) on Wednesday. Among other things, electronic government services for companies must be accessible via the central Easygov platform and one account.

The law further requires the federal government to estimate the one-time and recurring costs the ordinance will impose on businesses as they prepare laws. This estimate must be reflected in the Federal Council application. They can be compared with the benefit of the decree.

There was disagreement in the Council of States about whether an independent review agency should check the plausibility of the regulatory cost estimates. The majority was against and prevailed.
