There will be a reduction in staff at Swiss Post this year. Up to 116 employees can lose their jobs. The management of the logistics services area is affected. It is the largest department of Swiss Post with approximately 21,000 employees.

A consultation process is currently ongoing. Therefore, the post office cannot yet say with certainty how many jobs are actually involved. “We are considering all options to keep layoffs as low as possible,” a spokesperson said when asked by Blick. “We’ll be reporting internally how many people are affected soon.”

Swiss Post also emphasizes that no postal worker or employee in the sorting centers was affected by the dismantling. He is also trying to alleviate as much as possible through retirement and by reducing workloads.
