By 2022, public transport will sell more single tickets than all-inclusive travel passes

class=”sc-3778e872-0 gWjAEa”>

As Allianz Swisspass announced on Tuesday, single ticket sales rose 56 percent compared to 2019. More than 155 million individual tickets were sold (27.4 percent of total sales).

The share of GA travel cards fell from 27 percent (2019) to 22.9 percent. The main reason for this is that the number of subscriptions occasionally drops below 400,000 during the corona epidemic. In total, around 220 million tickets and subscriptions were sold in 2022 (+47 percent compared to 2019).

The number of passengers did not fully reach the pre-crisis level until the end. Until February, the impact of Corona was still strong due to the home office. The removal of the mask requirement at the beginning of April provided a strong recovery.
