Holcim reaches new record result in 2022

Sales increased by 8.8 percent to CHF 29.2 billion. And this is despite the fact that Holcim is selling its large cement businesses in India and Brazil. On a comparable basis, the world’s largest cement company announced Friday that sales will increase by 12.9 percent.

Thanks to the acquisitions, the new Solutions and Products division increased sales by more than half to CHF 5.55 billion. Here, Holcim targeted more than 5.5 billion. But even on its own, the division would grow by 18.5 percent.

Recurring operating profit EBITDA rose 3.0 percent to CHF 4.75 billion. This is the best result in years. This does not include restructuring, litigation and other non-recurring costs or impairments in operating assets.

Group profit increased 44 percent to CHF 3.31 billion. The sale of India alone brought a special profit of 1.5 billion francs. On the other hand, the result of the US Department of Justice’s 778 million dollar fine for the Syrian issue was negatively affected.

Shareholders will receive a dividend of CHF 2.50 per share. That’s 30 inches more than last year.

For the new fiscal year, Holcim announces its financial targets for the first time: Net sales will grow by 3 to 5 percent. On a comparable basis, recurring EBITDA should increase disproportionately. Free cash flow after leases is expected to be around CHF 3 billion. (SDA)
