Russia put Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas (46) on the wanted list. This was revealed in a note published on the website of the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday. Accordingly, Kallas is wanted in Russia for a “criminal case”; No further details were given.
As a result of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, which has been going on for two years, relations between Moscow and the Baltic countries are extremely tense. Kallas is one of the harshest critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin (71). He has been the head of government in Estonia since 2021. Kallas also repeatedly advocates for the delivery of ammunition and weapons to Ukraine.
Some European countries fear that Russia will attack another European country. The country with a population of 1.3 million wants to strengthen the defense line on the Russian border. It is planned to build shelters.
Kallas received the Ringier European Prize in 2022. Frank A. Meyer, President of the Hans Ringier Foundation, praised his courage and commitment to the Western world. (AFP/nad)
