“Forbes” took to the podium: Swiss young people under 30 are shaping the future

Business magazine Forbes has been publishing the “30 under 30” list since 2011, rewarding 30 young people under the age of 30 from the fields of business, science, media, entertainment and sports. Since 2016 there has been a separate list for the “DACH” region (Germany/Austria/Switzerland). German-language Forbes selects winners from nearly 2,000 suggestions with the help of a jury. Switzerland’s 2023 list is as follows:

Business

Christina Agyemang (29), Global Marketing Leadership Movement Lifestyle, On: He is responsible for advertising campaigns for the rapidly growing Swiss shoe brand.

Leroy Bächtold (28), co-founder/CEO, Crowd Transfer: Its platform creates a transparent football transfer market by bringing fans, clubs and players together throughout the transfer process. Various football clubs and FIFA are interested.

Sebastian Beetschen (29), co-founder/CEO of Almer Technologies: Almer Technologies is Europe’s only manufacturer of compact AR glasses and a partner of industry leaders such as Qualcomm and Teamviewer.

Andrea Buhofer (29), Managing Partner, Equity Pitcher Ventures: The venture capital firm has already raised 50 million francs in investor money and provided 10 million francs for a new fund.

Jessica Farda (25), Co-Founder/CEO, Noriware: Since its founding in 2021, his company has been helping reduce plastic pollution by developing an algae-based alternative to plastic films.

Viviane Gerber (29), Software Engineer, Diaxxo AG: Diaxxo develops diagnostic solutions, including a device that greatly speeds up PCR analyses.

Swen Koller (29), co-founder/CEO Bravo: Bravo connects restaurants with food wholesalers and digitalizes the ordering process. Its customer base currently includes more than 1,000 Swiss companies.

Toni Kurz (30), Founder/CEO, Meta Channel Holding: His company is a logistics and returns solutions platform. The Swiss start-up has been working with Zalando since 2022.

Nielufar Saffari (28), Dolmx CEO: Dolmx currently offers a platform solution that enables intercultural translation via video in 57 languages.

Lukas Schor (28), co-founder, Safe: Safe is a multi-signature wallet and manages over $46 billion in digital assets. Schor wants to establish Switzerland as the center of the Web3 or blockchain industry.

Laura Stocco (28), co-founder/CMO, Openversum: Your company wants clean drinking water to be accessible to everyone. In developing countries, women must distribute Openversum’s drinking water filters themselves.

Alexander Wälchli (28), COO/co-founder, Alpine White: The Zurich start-up wants to be an end-to-end solution for oral health, offering diagnostics and insurance as well as treatments.

Max Zeller (30), co-founder, Carbon Removal Partners: His company established a venture capital fund in Luxembourg that invests in startups in the decarbonization industry worldwide.

Amy Alessia Baserga (23), biathlete: Baserga is a three-time junior world champion and immediately took to the podium at his first World Cup.

Nico Hischier (24), ice hockey player: Hischier was the first Swiss player drafted in the first round in 2017 and has been playing for the New Jersey Devils in the US NHL ice hockey league ever since. At the age of 24, he is already captain there.

Alisha Lehmann (24), football player: Lehmann, who plays for England’s Aston Villa team, is one of Switzerland’s most famous athletes with more than 16 million Instagram followers.

Marco Odermatt (26), skier: At 26 years old, Odermatt can already call himself an Olympic champion, two-time world champion and overall World Cup champion. He also owns a ski clothing brand.

Noel Oliver Studer (27), chess grandmaster: At the age of 21, Studer was already a chess grandmaster. He now shares his chess knowledge on his blog “Next Level Chess” and on YouTube.

Annina Walt (27), actress: The Zurich native has already appeared in front of the camera in the movie “Tatort” and received the Prix Swissperform award in the “Best Actress” category in 2021. She is also actively involved in theatre.

Loredana Zefi (28), rapper: The Lucerne native of Kosovo origin is successful in the German-speaking region and has 3.2 million followers on Instagram.
