Now research by the “SonntagsZeitung” shows that Zurich Triemli Hospital is also one of the plaintiffs. “Zurich City Hospital has constituted itself as a private plaintiff in the above-mentioned proceedings,” a spokesman was quoted as saying. The canton of Basel-Landschaft is also among the private plaintiffs, an executive confirmed by email.

Inselspital Bern also purchased masks from Emix Trading AG, but did not want to disclose whether they had filed a lawsuit against the mask company. The canton of Glarus has now reached an out-of-court agreement with Emix on a one-off payment.

The Swiss Army purchased the most Emix masks for the army pharmacy. This will also give him every reason to sue the mask millionaires. However, the question remained unanswered due to “procedural and negotiation tactical reasons”.

The trial in Munich continues

The process still takes some time in this country. The process in Munich is already continuing at full speed. The two Emix chief executives are said to be unlikely to appear in court for questioning.

Researchers estimate that mask millionaires made a profit of 350 million francs with Emix in Germany alone. Two young entrepreneurs used the money to pamper themselves with expensive luxury sleds.

Emix does not want to know anything about the fact that a large number of civil plaintiffs were created in the proceedings in Switzerland. And he insists that “sales prices in the first phase of the pandemic corresponded to market conditions at that time.” (kae)
