The Spycher Burger Gang company is the franchise partner behind Carl’s Jr.’s new Swiss subsidiary, a statement on Thursday revealed. The company is owned by Spycher Group Holding and is headquartered in Ittigen near Bern.
The first local Carl’s location should “open before the end of the year,” according to the statement. However, the report does not contain any information about his exact whereabouts.
The Swiss business will be led by Matthias Spycher, Chairman and CEO of Spycher Burger Gang. According to the report, Franziska Kaiser will become General Manager under him.
The first Carl’s Jr. The restaurants were opened in 1956 by Carl Karcher as a small offshoot of Carl’s Drive-In Barbeque, which he founded in Anaheim in 1945. Parent company CKE Restaurants also owns other quick-service restaurant chains, including Hardee’s. According to the report, both are represented by approximately 4,000 restaurants in 44 states in the United States and 38 countries internationally.
