Significant departure from Mobiliar, Switzerland’s oldest private insurance company: CFO Peter Brawand (58) will retire in early May 2024. The company announced that the search for a successor continues.
Brawand has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Mobiliar Group since June 1, 2004 and is also a member of the management team. He has been serving as deputy CEO since 2014. Before that, he worked at Revisuisse Price Waterhouse AG and in the management of Coop Versicherungs-Gesellschaft and Basler Versicherungen.
During Peter Brawand’s tenure, Mobiliar’s premium volume increased by 2 to 4.5 billion francs. Equity capital tripled to 6 billion francs.
Mobiliar CEO Michèle Rodoni regrets Brawand’s decision but praises him: “It has significantly shaped our strategy of above-market profitable growth and helped us decisively steer Mobiliar even through difficult years.”
