Savaş Ceylan (37) has been standing in front of the Swatch store in Biel since 22:00. Its aim was to capture a model of the new Swatch, created in collaboration with luxury watch brand Blancpain. “There are 7 people waiting in front of us since 20:00,” says Ceylan. Watch fans request one of the five new models

Five new models can already be seen in the shop windows. Each model is named after one of the five oceans: “Arctic Ocean”, “Pacific Ocean”, “Atlantic Ocean”, “Indian Ocean” and “Antarctic Ocean”. Ceylan does not yet know which model to choose; He still has a few hours for that.

Ceylan was already ready for the last Swatch campaign, in which the manufacturer collaborated with a watch collector, Omega. However, the new Swatch Blancpain has a special meaning for him as it is directly involved in the production process. Savaş Ceylan works for the manufacturer ETA SA, which produces movements for Swatch.

The cost of the new model is 375 francs

The so-called “Bioseramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms”, which is called the new model, costs 375 francs each. This makes it more expensive than the “Moonswatch” created in collaboration with Omega and sold at 250 francs since March 2022.
