Expanding Chinese activities

With 100 additional specialists in sales and development, Ems is looking to expand existing partnerships and gain new sales channels. Chinese e-car maker Nio is already a longstanding partner. “Our specialty polymers are indispensable for wiring, plugs, charging systems, electric motors and cooling and battery systems,” writes Ems on request. Inside the Nio-E car, there are already 12 EMS applications with special high-performance polymers.

Nio not only markets and sells electric cars, but also creates a whole microcosm around them for the buyer, called “Nio World.” These cars are sold at the so-called Nio-Houses. In addition to referral, customers are served Nio food there, purchase Nio fashion items, or attend yoga classes with the Nio community.
