The Cantonal Hospital Lucerne (Luks) should offer a legally established basic service at its locations. On Tuesday, the canton council voted 87 to 14 in favor of a corresponding passage in the hospital law.
Parliament followed its Committee on Health, Labor and Social Security (GASK), which drafted the bill. The GLP had requested an exemption from determining what the hospital had to offer. Their argument was that if the hospital were forced to submit a detailed bid, its further development would be prevented.
