The fashion industry seems to have decided to play the opposite effect. remember a year ago when we begged the stars to stop wearing fuchsia Valentino to every first red carpet? It just made my eyes flutter! It seemed that the catwalks, gossip and wardrobes of the common fashionista were so saturated with pink that no one would miss him for the next five years.
There is still a full month and a half left until the release of the film (we are of course talking about the sensational premiere of Barbie), but we can definitely talk about a commercial success. The promotional image went over – and continues – with a bang. How did we get it? Just look at how often the world’s celebrities come out in pink!
Our favorite Kate Middleton, who recently endorsed barbicore, was no exception. The Princess of Wales chose a strict pantsuit by Alexander McQueen for a visit to the London Foundling Museum and unexpectedly took an accent belt with a pearl buckle to the usual “work” outfit. Honestly, we didn’t expect that!
On the other hand, it is a direct tribute to the Barbie doll, which is currently known for its colorful accessories. We can’t say for sure whether Katherine was on fire with the barbie aesthetic on the eve of the premiere, but we can confirm: the pink “doubles” pants are an obvious must-have for the summer of 2023!
The most accurate hit in the trend is a powdery, pastel pink shade, which is also called a muted “bubblegum”. But in other variations of this color it will still produce the desired effect. And yes, we advise you not to choose a romantic dress, but a man’s suit, to combine tenderness, gaiety, childish infantilism in one image – and determination, self-confidence, status.
