Do you remember the cult movie “The Princess Diaries”? There, the main character turns from an inconspicuous schoolgirl into a real royal person and gains faith in her own attractiveness. Of course, this happened due to many factors, one of which was an updated wardrobe. The character of Anne Hathaway was chosen to match her position and emphasize the dignity of the characters. Who doesn’t dream about it? We ourselves sometimes review our favorite kind movie and sigh: if only we could wake up one day and the princess’s wardrobe appeared in the room by itself – it’s magical!
But it’s true, children’s dreams, and the realist in us is convinced: you don’t need to use the services of a personal royal tailor to transform your style. It is enough to notice examples of beautiful styling and try them on yourself – visually or in reality. And you can (and should!) learn from other people’s fashion mistakes, so we sincerely recommend that you look at the “before / after” pictures from stylists from time to time and use the found fashion tricks.
Why do you think the image in the photo on the left does not attract attention at all? The point is the combination of bland shades of the down jacket and the bag – it turned out sad (like the weather outside the window). Skinny jeans do not add joy along with them, they lie on top of the shoes and give away all the irregularities of the lacing. By the way, the stylist recommends tucking such tight pants into high winter boots – this way the legs will visually appear longer and the figure will not look “grounded”.
The “after” picture is another matter entirely. Knee-high suede boots with a wide top in combination with leggings in a similar shade of beige really slim. Note! With a pale pink coat, the look is noticeably freshened up – thanks, barbicore! Do not be afraid to add colors to the wardrobe, it will only benefit him – let’s start with one juicy accent, and then learn to combine 2-3 shades.
How well-chosen pants and bright accessories change the impression of the image! But let’s get down to business. The jeans in the “before” photo are generally not bad, but they are not exactly true to size: so they visually shorten the legs. This fashion misunderstanding was caused by a low rise (careful with it) and a blouse tucked into jeans.
The stylist replaced them with a classic high cut and loose long sleeves, which is definitely the right decision. The strict red blazer looks more appropriate with the blouses than the sporty model of the windbreaker on the right, covering the beautiful jabot. Although, in fact, there is no crime in this: things in the style of “glam” are combined with sports – this is how sport-chic is born. However, for this it is important to maintain a balance of volume, for example, to wear a loose jacket – here I chose a narrow model without “air”, which nipped the idea of non-banal clothing in the bud.
Pay attention to one more detail: the stripes on the long sleeve overlap with the color of the blazer – the easiest trick to tie the look together. A similar combination of clothes will undergo slight changes in winter: you can wear a coat or a maxi down jacket on top and boots or heeled boots instead of sandals. And there is no need to say goodbye to the bag of juicy color – let it stay and it will cheer you up in the cold!
