We watched Estet Fashion Week and immediately noticed the MONA LIZA bedding set. The basis of the set is a fabric that has no analogues in Russia: the bedspread uses 365 elements and details, the design of the product is inspired by the beauty of Russian nature. Curonian artisans gave it a symbolic name – “Soul of Russia”.
It was created in a single copy, and famous sights are “encrypted” on the canvas itself: Baikal, the deepest lake in the world (1642 meters deep), Komi primeval forests, Elbrus – the highest mountain of the Caucasus, Europe, and the highest point of Russia, the Kursk spit with the highest drifting dunes in Europe, the Kungur Ice Cave and many other places of power.
“The expanse that opens up from a bird’s eye view is always pleasing. It was this image that was the basis of the visual appearance of this exclusive set and was transferred to the jewelry show by the hands of our artisans,” commented Sergey Lukyanov, founder and owner of TM MONA LIZA, the work done in the year of the best tradition of Russian applied art.
The widest range of techniques was used in the creation of the canvas: embroidery with satin stitch, sewing with silk cord, gold embroidery with thin metal threads, cutting, ribbon embroidery, tambour and soutache embroidery. Overhead sewing techniques, appliqués with rhinestones and fabric are also used in the work, the bedspread is embroidered with natural pearls, beads, shining stones – the result is simply incredible!
