What the “old bag” looks like – face the enemy that gives you extra fashion

Not so long ago, we discussed bags that cost up to 10 thousand rubles, but look like real luxury (by the way, a selection here). You don’t need much for this: it is enough to choose dense, if not the most expensive materials, good fittings and a noble palette – and together with a classic form, it will give an excellent “expensive” visual.

These bags won’t work miracles, and they won’t suddenly turn shorts and a t-shirt into a mega-spectacular look. But they will certainly add an intelligent and stylish accent to the most basic outfits, and in addition, they will support an elegant look with their classic, timeless shape. And yes – this is an example of a good, really practical “ageless” supplement.

You can recognize them easily: unlike real accessories, “older” bags are usually not geometric, their frame is soft, the shape is not guessed at all. “What about the soft wanderers?” You ask a reasonable question. Modern trendy hobos on the shoulder or on the arm still look elegant. The design is specially developed to create beautiful folds on the bag and keep it proportional under any conditions.

But “older” bags often look crooked: you put them on your shoulder or carry them in your hand – they “cut” a bit. This indicates low-quality workmanship and too malleable material – such details spoil the impression of the image.

Add here bland shades, for example, not the classic ivory, but its grayish version – neither here nor there. Nonsensical hardware like metal rivets “scattered” all over the bag will also be a problem. Is it an accent, do they have a stylistic function? If the answer is no, then such details do nothing to enhance your accessory – and look dated.

Plus, not all bags that fail our fashion face check should be written off. They can often be “reached for” with a stylish look. Most often, models in the boho style are saved: if you put together an outfit with trendy details such as a mesh dress and espadrilles, then your accessory will get a second lease of life.

But one way or another, it’s definitely not worth worrying about a new thing from “older” bags – it’s better to bet on the trend in combination with the classics. This combo will not disappoint!
