It’s no longer a surprise after the closing credits scene of “Fast & Furious 10” aka “Fast X”, but now it’s official: Dwayne Johnson actually returns to the Fast And Furious franchise and will appear in his own movie as Luke Hobbsbefore “Fast & Furious 11” (and possibly “Fast & Furious 12”?) brings the blockbuster series to an end. But what exactly is this “Hobbs” movie?

That seems very important to everyone involved, including Dwayne Johnson as lead actor and producer, Johnson’s companions Dany and Hiram Garcia, Vin Diesel (also as producer) and screenwriter Chris Morgan.
Morgan is something of an architect of the Fast & Furious franchise, having written parts 3 through 8 and Hobbs & Shaw, but wasn’t as closely involved with Fast & Furious 9 and Fast & Furious 10. But now he’s returning in taking a creative role behind the camera and writing the screenplay for the yet-to-be-titled Fast & Furious: Hobbs – which could be a good sign, given that Morgan-written parts 5, 6 and 7 are considered the highlights of the series .
Hobbs to Dante
But what exactly awaits us in the movie “Hobbs”? The closing credits scene of “Fast & Furious 10” also suggests that: The villain, wonderfully embodied by Jason Momoa Not only does Dante target Dom Torretto (Vin Diesel) and his family, he also takes on Luke Hobbs (and his in “Hobbs & Shaw“ Established family?) focused – probably largely parallel.
Because Dom may have robbed Dante’s father Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) and left him to die, but as we learn in the mid-credits scene, Luke Hobbs shot the Brazilian crime boss. The script for “Fast & Furious: Hobbs‘ seems over and the team behind the camera is already running the engines at full speed. Once a director is found for the movie and the cast and crew are complete, it could probably happen pretty quickly. Despite Dwayne Johnson’s furious comeback should not hit theaters until 2025.
