‘The 50 best restaurants in Latin America in 2023.’ will be in Brazil

Organizers of the “50 Best Restaurants in Latin America 2023” competition. have announced details of the awards ceremony, which will take place in person in Rio de Janeiro next November.

The gala ceremony, which was previously held in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru, will be held in Brazil for the first time.

It will be in cooperation with the Office of the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, the partner destination of this edition.

The event will take place on November 28 and will bring together the most influential figures of the gastronomic scene in the region.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring the awards program 50 Best Latin American Restaurants in Brazil with the support of our partner destination, the Office of the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro,” said Charles Reed, general manager of William Reed, the company responsible for organizing the Top 50, in a press release.

The decision to hold this year’s awards in Rio reflects the importance of Brazil as a culinary destination par excellence and highlights Rio’s position on the gastronomic and cultural scene of Latin America.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio de Janeiro, said: “It is an honor to receive the 50 best in our city. Rio de Janeiro has a vocation to attract those who love good food, good experiences and want to have fun.”

“Gastronomy is important for tourism, and with this event we will attract travelers who are interested in our cuisine, our customs, and thus we will stimulate the economy and create new jobs,” he added.

Before the awards ceremony, The top 50 will also announce other special awards, such as the Best Chef of Latin America, the American Express One To Watch Award, the Icon 2023 Award and the second edition of restaurants ranked between 51 and 100 in Latin America.

The program of the event will include a famous forum 50 best #50best conversationswhich brings together some of the world’s most famous chefs every year to discuss a topic of particular importance to the industry.

Other awards that will be announced during the ceremony are: Estrella Damm Chefs’ Choice Award, Gin Mare Art of Hospitality AwardLatin America’s Best Pastry Chef, sponsored by República del Cacao, and the Beronia Award for Latin America’s Best Sommelier.
